Wrapping Up Our Leadership Camp
Women Win wrapped up its second Young Women in Sport Leadership Camp, March 10-20, 2014. The camp brought together 10 young female leaders from sport for development organizations in Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Zambia and Rwanda. These young women are coaches, life skill facilitators, programme coordinators and activists in their community, and many are implementing the Goal Programme with adolescent girls.
During the two weeks, the young women learned ICT skills and created videos about how sport has impacted their lives through digital storytelling activities and were then paired up with international mentors and engaged in leadership sessions. The young leaders continue their mentoring relationships for one year, implementing community change projects and working toward developing their leadership goals with their mentors.
